Native Shoes

I went to visit the folks at Walrus today and bought myself a pair of Native shoes, the Miller. I wanted to buy the exact same pair for Luna but their kids sizes were still too big for her. These are so comfortable and totally recommend them. I originally wanted the new one that came out which is the Howard but I couldn’t resist the awesome red colour of the Millers. Typical of me, I tend to gravitate to brighter colours. Though, I might be back for a pair of the Howards in grey. So Nice. Thanks to Caroline for always being so welcoming. Walrus is on top of my list of favourite shops in the...

Granville Island, Kits Beach & Luna Walking!

The past two days felt like Spring has arrived. I spent the day wandering around Granville Island market indulging in a few (yes, a few!) Lee’s donuts (so good btw, a must try!), a carrot cake, a cup of one of my favourite coffee in the city – JJ Bean & Indian food. And no, I didn’t eat them all myself – the calories were shared with my parents. Gotta blame my mom for my sweet tooth and my dad for my love for food. We ate outside the market listening to musicians playing while watching all the birds fly around us. Pretty amazing. After all the sweet indulgence, we walked back to Kitsilano beach so Luna can have a bit of playtime in the playground. To all of our surprise, she decided to walk on her own (without me holding her hand). Amazing!! She just went off on her own happily waving to people walking by and checking out what all the other kids were doing. Definitely a proud moment for all of us to see little Luna walking all by...

17 Months

Yeah, Luna is 17 months old & it feels like Spring is almost here. Luna’s recent obsessions are: balloons, birds, puppies, Curious George, waffles and walking outdoors. Luna dislikes walking on grass and gravel.┬áLuna got her first colds & cough a few weeks ago but even with very stuffy nose and lost of appetite, she still managed to be herself by showering us with hugs, kisses & smiles. PS: thanks to auntie Anita & uncle Jonathan for the awesome...

Wandering

Another weekend walk along the shore line. This time the air was still brisk but without the wintery cold. As we headed deeper towards the trees, large eagles flew overhead, surely, signaling that spring will soon...
